Clean out your handbags! Next Saturday, you can shop and swap for accessories at the Park Slope Co-op.  It’s the Pocketbook Bag Shoe Exchange.

It’s Free, and you don’t have to be a member of the Co-op to attend.

You can bring up to 15 items. Unswapped items will go to a local shelter.

Today, I went to Loren’s swap at St. Margaret’s. I got two cute sweaters and was also interviewed for a story about clothing swaps.

Hey swappers, time to change the season, time to change your clothes! This is our second swap to benefit St. Margaret’s House which is a subsidized housing complex for seniors and the disabled. I work there and they are thrilled to host our swap and will be providing a beautiful space and all we need for a great swap experience! Our last swap there was very nice indeed and we raised over $150 for the residence.

What to expect: HUGE carpeted, brightly lit space with tables, chairs, racks, refreshments, music. NOTHING ON THE FLOOR!!!

What to bring: New or gently used clothing, accessories, and other fun and useful items. Anything you’d be proud to give to a friend. PLEASE – nothing stained, ripped or otherwise gross.
