Organizer Salem Collo-Julin, 32, a Chicago artist, said she wants people to rethink “our tendency to just consume more when something falls apart rather than learn how to reuse or rework [it].”
She added, “These are things people can do on their own. It’s a great way to rebuild community and think about the stuff you already own in a different way.”
